This wine is made in the traditional method. Estate grown fruit was picked in two batches, early to add acid and then later to add fruit intensity. Aged on lees in the bottle for a minimum of 12 months gives this wine a flavour and complexity that is renowned in a Sparkling Shiraz.
Lovely bright red hue and excellent medium bead, nicely persistent. The nose is quite light, showing some plum pudding characters and a touch of spice behind the red fruits. This is a very easy drinking; sweetish with lovely fresh fruit flavours and a very fine mousse, demonstrating good winemaking. This is a great drink at the price and shouldn’t be overlooked for its ability to match a wide array of foods from roast turkey to chocolate desserts.
