The aging in custom made 450L French Oak puncheons and rich fruit give this Wood Matured Chenin Blanc an unusual depth of flavour and added complexity making it quite unique. It will continue to develop for many years.
Tasting Note for 2014 Wood Matured Chenin Blanc
There’s a riot of fruit on the nose with fragrant oak spiciness pimping the bouquet to something really special. A supple, gently-rounded palate shows real elegance, but with a sun-drenched fullness you expect from this Peel classic. The wood is there, but not really evident. This peculiarity in Australian white wines flaunts its style in what was obviously a good year for it.
